With Muse Developments and RM_A Architects, we're building 274 new homes in Bromley-by-Bow.

Stroudley Walk is located between Bruce Road and Bromley High Street, close to Bow Road.

Regeneration here will provide Tower Hamlets residents with:

  • 82 new homes for affordable rent
  • 33 new shared ownership flats
  • 4 new shops and new green spaces.

The demolition of Warren House, 30-39 and 40-49 Stroudley Walk took place in 2022. We started to build in 2023 and expect construction to complete in 2025.

  • Every shop at Stroudley Walk, including the fruit and veg stall, will stay open throughout the construction
  • 500 local people gave us feedback on our development ideas and influenced the final planning application
  • The new homes include terraced family houses and apartments ranging in size from studio to 4 bedrooms
  • The building designs consider nearby listed buildings including the former Rose and Crown pub which dates back to the late 18th century.

We’re working closely with the Bow Bridge Estate Resident Group, who represent residents living at Stroudley Walk, during construction.

"The area is really lacking a proper high street with good amenities. It would be lovely if Stroudley Walk could develop more of a local community."

Stroudley Walk resident

“I’m pleased to celebrate the progress at Stroudley Walk which will deliver 115 new genuinely affordable homes in east London, alongside green areas and community spaces.

This impressive development builds on City Hall’s record levels of affordable housebuilding across the capital and will ensure that more Londoners can benefit from new, high-quality homes – helping to build a better, fairer, more prosperous London for everyone.”

Deputy Mayor for Housing and Residential Development, Tom Copley

"The changes we are proposing will be transformative to the area, which has a unique and rich history, having close links to both the suffragette movement and Mahatma Gandhi. It is a very special part of London.”
