The Youth Empowerment Board is open 16 to 21 year olds, from Poplar and Bow, who want to create real change in east London.
The Youth Empowerment Board’s (YEB) mission is to bring young people’s voices into the heart of our decision making and forms part of our official governance structure.
There are big changes happening in Poplar and Bow over the next few years. YEB members, all from E3 and E14, are offering their ideas, feedback and inspiration to influence these changes.
Key areas of focus for the YEB are:
- Sustainability
- Teviot regeneration
- Working with our staff, Committees and Board.
In return, YEB members benefit from opportunities, including:
- Having their say on things that matter to them
- Self-development and employability skills
- A FREE 2 day residential
- Meeting at monthly sessions at different, aspirational locations
- A meal & refreshments at every monthly session
- Trips to meet professionals in their spaces, to gain further insight into their industry.
