Our St Paul’s Way Nursery provides affordable childcare and early years education for children aged two to five.

Since opening in 2020, the nursery provides young people with a rich learning and play environment. We empower children to be happy and confident.

We’re proud of our progress and that of our children. Our experienced staff ensure the best possible care, guidance, and support is received throughout your child’s educational journey with us.

We look forward to nurture our community’s young minds and equip them with the knowledge and skills they need for a great start in life.

Our opening hours

We’re open for 38 weeks in the year, with breaks following the academic term times, from Monday to Friday 8:30am to 3:30pm.

Our session options for family are:

  • full day from 9am to 3pm
  • morning session from 8:30am to 11:30 am
  • afternoon session from 12:30pm to 3:30 pm

Fees and funding

Our nursery is registered to receive early years funding for eligible three and four-year-olds for up to 15 or 30 hours per week. We also take eligible children aged two years.

For non-funding eligible children our rates are:

  • £100 for 15 hours per week across five days
  • £200 for 30 hours per week

We understand covering the cost of childcare isn’t always easy, especially in the current financial climate. The UK government and Tower Hamlets Council offers a range of funded childcare schemes to help lighten the financial load. Take a look through all the available options to see what funding can help your family here.

Frequently asked questions

How do I register my child?

By completing a registration form in person at our St Paul’s Way Centre.

How soon can my child start?

As soon as a place is available.

Can I pre-register my child before their eligible age?

We operate a waiting list so that families can register their children prior to them becoming eligible.

Is there a cap on how many funded children you can take?

No, we operate a first come first served policy – whether your child accesses funding or pays fees.

How long is the waiting list?

This depends on the time of year, but generally it is about a term.

What is the curriculum like?

Our approach to your child’s development starts with the early years foundation stage (EYFS) curriculum and goes way further – to help your child make the most of their time at nursery and prepare them for the journey ahead.

We offer a range of different activities throughout the setting. They focus on the prime areas of learning:

  • personal
  • social and emotional development
  • physical development
  • communication and language development

We also offer activities around specific areas of learning:

  • literacy
  • mathematics
  • understanding the world
  • express arts and design

We operate a free flow system where children can assess the activities throughout the session in both our indoor and outdoor space.

What do our fees cover?

Our nursery fees cover all tuition, nappies and most trips. A small charge may be needed for trips depending on where we are going.

Do you provide lunch?

We don’t offer lunch. We ask parents to provide a healthy packed lunch for children who have a full-time place. Children are offered a healthy snack in the morning and afternoon.

When are fees due?

At the beginning of every month. We do accept weekly payments if that is more convenient for you.

How will I be able to monitor my child's progress?

You will receive regular updates from your child’s key person and we have termly parent/key worker sessions to discuss children progress and the areas we will be supporting the following term.
